Proven Leadership. Proven Results.

Accomplishments

Since first being elected as Ward 3 Councillor in 2018, I have worked to put Pelham First by focusing on three priorities:

Affordability – Protecting taxpayers through responsible financial management.
Reliability – Investing in infrastructure and delivering dependable municipal services.
Serving – Providing transparent, accountable leadership that puts residents first.

Over the past eight years, these priorities have delivered measurable results for our community.

Affordability

Protecting Your Tax Dollars -Every Tax Dollar Matters

I have worked to strengthen Pelham’s financial position while ensuring taxpayers receive value for their investment over the last 8 years.

Results Delivered:

✓ Reduced Pelham’s net municipal debt from $33 million (2019) to $4.6 million (2025).

✓ Helped secure $28.5 million in provincial and federal grants between 2023 and 2025, with An additional six million based on grant funding obtained in 2026, plus further funding opportunities being actively pursued.

✓ Through the Utility Sustainability Group, helped identify energy-saving initiatives generating approximately $500,000 in annual savings for the Town.

✓ Supported the creation of Pelham’s Audit Committee, strengthening financial oversight and accountability.

✓ Supported the creation of a dedicated Grant Department to identify and pursue provincial and federal funding opportunities.

✓ Helped maintain one of Ontario’s strongest municipal financial reporting records.

Every grant dollar secured—and every operating dollar saved—is a dollar that does not have to come from local taxpayers. That is responsible financial management and a commitment to protecting Pelham’s financial future.

Reliability

Building Infrastructure That Lasts

As a Professional Engineer and former Engineering Manager, I believe in planning ahead, maintaining infrastructure, and addressing problems before they become more expensive.

I have supported investments that improve services today while protecting taxpayers from higher future costs, including:

✓ Meridian Community Centre improvements.
✓ Fire Hall redevelopment.
✓ Library renovations and improvements.
✓ Fonthill Pool upgrades.
✓ Roads and infrastructure renewal.
✓ Steve Bauer Trail paving and new multi-use trail connections.
✓ LED streetlight conversion and energy-efficient municipal facilities.
✓ Expansion of Pelham's recreational facilities through the addition and development of G.L. Klager Park.

Reliable infrastructure and quality recreational facilities are essential to a safe, healthy, and growing community. By investing today, we are building a stronger Pelham for future generations.

Reliable Electricity

"Reliable electricity is no longer simply a convenience—it is essential to modern life."

Our homes, businesses, schools, hospitals, emergency services, water and wastewater systems, communications, transportation, and virtually every municipal and regional service depend on a safe, reliable, and affordable electricity supply.

As your Councillor I :

✓ Represent Pelham at the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) planning for Today and the Future.

✓ Advocate for improved power quality and fewer outages.

✓ Work to reduce electricity delivery costs for residents by restoring Pelham's former Urban High Density electricity delivery classification, the designation Pelham had prior to January 2011.

✓ Support the growth and innovation of Niagara Peninsula Energy as Pelhams Electricity Provider.

Reliable electricity is the foundation of a strong economy, essential public services, and a high quality of life for everyone in Pelham.
